The bag is made from cleaned PVC advertising signs. Every Reversible bag
comes with a separate bag which can be used to return it to Reversible when it is worn out or not used any more. In this way, you too
can contribute to the care and safeguarding of the environment.
The PVC publicity banner has a number of advantages making it an essential tool for urban advertising: flexible, resistant, eye catching and easy to customise.
This urban media tool, the preferred support for large format digital prints, creates a disturbing paradox: a short useful life but with an unlimited life span.
PVC is a non biodegradable material and its destruction is problematic, incineration of PVC is indeed a source of dioxin emissions, an important pollutant. Some industry professionals have become conscious of the problem. At their initiative, a recycling process has come to fruition. At the hearth of this process, Reversible has today a "responsible" solution to propose, that allow the PVC banners to be reused and that participates financially to the collection of this recyclable material.
First of all, Reversible works with the printed PVC to give it a new use in the field of urban bags and design objects. By playing with the choice of shapes and visuals and exploiting the characteristics of the material, Reversible's know how consists of imaging functional products, personalised by playing with the graphics, so that each piece is unique.
Reversible goes a lot further than the simple reuse of recovered material; by bringing together actors in the industry the company's ambition is to promotes a real circle of recycling where the consumer has his place as a real player. By allowing the customer to return his bag after use, using a PVC wrapper supplied at the time of purchase, Reversible avoids the "dispersal" of PVC and allows it to be finally recycled using the Texyloop process. In this way a new raw material is generated (PVC and polyester fibres) in order to manufacture new banners, with minimal environmental impact.
