unique, innovative & ethical design

Welcome to House of Menu!
Scandinavian Design Originals.
3 little words. But they express everything for which Menu live and breathe: A never-ending search for beautiful Scandinavia design with true originality. Aesthetic and practical daily surprises that you become happier and happier to look at, touch and use. Surprises that make you say: But of course – how come no one has thought of that before?

Jakob Wagner (Creations available on Wearunique: Propeller Trivet, Wine accessories, Winerack, Coolcoat, Wine Runner, Water Carafe, Glasses).
Jakob Wagner is one of Scandinavia’s foremost designers at present, and he is one of only a handful to have exhibited at some of the biggest museums worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York with the Propeller Trivet from Menu. Jakob is motivated by his love of meaningful shapes. He works at the balancing point between contrasting visual expressions: Masculine/feminine, organic/geometric, symmetric/asymmetric etc. "It brings the object to life, challenges our senses and appeals to our feelings", he says – and it is this very approach that makes him so enjoyable to work with at Menu.

Pernille Vea (Creations available on Wearunique: Love&Luck Mugs, Milk&Sugar Set, Galerie Vase)
Many of the best-known and most popular products in Menu’s range come from Pernille Vea's design universe. Pernille, and not least her designs, have won countless prizes and prestigious awards all over the world.
She moved from very geometric design to more asymmetrical shapes, inspired by nature. For example, by recreating the shape of a stone that has been worn by the movement of the waves. Previously, it was largely about designing things from the kitchen and the dining table for taking out into the garden. Now the trend has reversed: They are importing shapes from the great outdoors into the garden.

Norm (Creations available on Wearunique: Winebreather)
Norm architects Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen & Kasper Rønn, are deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition – which they honour and refine.
According to Jonas & Kasper good design meets real needs and satisfies all senses: A classic, recognizable shape with a new, original twist that calls for attention. A surprising, little detail, or a new material enticing you to touch the product, smell it, enjoy the sound when you put it on the table.
Norm brings function and beauty together, always adding that little extra in pursuit of timelessness and soul...

Jakob Munk (Creations available on Wearunique: Decanter 1L)
Jakob Munk trained at the Institute for Architecture & Design at the University of Aalborg in 2003, and in the course of his brief career he has worked behind the scenes for a number of well-known Danish and international brands, including several large Chinese export companies. His keen desire to solve the minor problems faced by people each day with strong functionality and beautiful design has so far resulted in two products for Menu – the soap brush and the multi-carafe.

Henriette Melchiorsen (Creations available on Wearunique: Salt&Pepper)
In her workshop Henriette works with innovative new products, developing ideas for international companies and creating items shown at exhibitions in and outside Denmark. The salt and pepper scoop is her first design for Menu.
